WindEurope

WindEurope is the voice of the wind industry, actively promoting wind power in Europe and worldwide. In addition to wind turbine manufacturers with a leading share of the world wind power market, WindEurope’s membership encompasses component suppliers, research institutes, national wind and renewables associations, developers, contractors, electricity providers, finance and insurance companies, and consultants.

EAWE has a longstanding collaboration with WindEurope, and amongst others, supports the scientific tracks of the WindEurope meetings.

ETIPWind

The European Technology and Innovation Platform on Wind Energy (ETIPWind) connects Europe’s wind energy community. Key stakeholders in the platform involve the wind energy industry, political stakeholders and research institutions.

The scope of ETIPWind is to create a virtual and physical platform via which the wind energy community can communicate, coordinate and collaborate its work and activities related to research, innovation and technology. EAWE’s president is a member of the executive board of ETIPWIND.

European Energy Research Alliance

The European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) is the largest energy research community in Europe. Organized in 17 Joint Research Programs, EERA coordinates energy research to achieve more efficient and cheaper low carbon energy technologies.

Many of EAWE’s members are also EERA members. EAWE supports EERA in formulating European research priorities for wind energy, both organizations are also active within ETIPWIND.

NAWEA

The North American Wind Energy Association is composed of universities, research laboratories, and industry participants dedicated to coordinating wind energy research and education activities in order to advance the state of wind energy technology and to develop the next generation of wind energy engineers, researchers, scientists, and innovators.

EAWE and NAWEA share the same values and priorities related to wind energy research, and closely collaborate in promoting fundamental research in wind energy, organizing conferences, and fostering high-level PhD research.
